NightLase®

The end goal of the Fotona nightlife function is to improve sleep by reducing the effects of and decreasing the amplitude of snoring by targeting the mucosa tissue.

The laser is strong enough to provide healing but also gentle enough to be used on the sensitive tissue in the mouth. Research has shown that nightlase is an effective, non- invasive procedure that can help reduce snoring.

Acne & Acne Scar Revision

Fotona offers a solution to acne by using the Nd:YAG laser light that penetrates into the skin and effectively targets overactive sebaceous glands which in turn reduces the risk of more acne inflammation.
Not only does it target acne but also acne scars. The Er:YAG laser beam is absorbed by the layers of the skin which vaporizes scarred tissue and stimulates the production of collagen.

Onychomycosis

Onychomycosis is the term for toenail fungus and Fotona has a treatment for it. Fotona uses the power of Nd:YAG laser light to heat the effected nail and skin tissue. The laser effectively weakens and kills the parasitic fungi which has affected the nails.

Vascular Lesions

In order to get rid of vascular lesions, the laser targets certain blood vessels. The energy from the laser is absorbed by the blood in the veins and then converted into heat which destroys the vein walls. This process is safe and the body naturally clears away dead tissue.

Endovascular Treatments

Similar to the treatment of vascular lesions, Fotonas EndoVenous laser ablation treatment works by using the heat from the laser to close down a vein by shrinking and sealing it. The healthy veins that surround the closed vein can then restore the normal flow of blood to the treated area.Laser treatments are less invasive than traditional surgical methods of varicose vein removal, have a lower complication rate, and are well tolerated by patients. Recovery time is short and the treatment produces good cosmetic results.

Hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis is the term given to profuse sweating. The laser light is used to heat up sweat glad tissue under local anesthetic. This procedure can be completed within an hour.

Laser Lipolysis

The act of removing excess body fat by heating up the fat through the laser is known as laser lipolysis. The Fotona laser targets excess fat in areas such as the thighs, abdomen, arms, neck, and parts of the face and it is minimally invasive.

Permanent Hair Reduction

The Nd:YAG laser unlike other lasers can be used on all skin types. Although the success of hair reduction depends on the patients hair and skin type, there is usually a significant reduction in hair growth. Hair growth after laser tends to be thinner and lighter.
